I sent an email to another. I'll c&p his responce when I get it. I know that kid's got more brains than the one you spoke to obviously. Appy fans better'd hope that that IS the only retard on that team or they could be facing a lot of 1-9 teams in the future. That 1 won't be against PV though.

The Appy-PV game is important to both squads...maybe a lil moreso to Appy since they haven't won in a while. But, folks in both towns know enough about football to know that game doesn't make or break either team's season. It's a nice win...but prefer to go 1-9 if your only win is that one??...get the f@ck outta here!!

Bingo. Anyone that says that is just speaking hyperbole and not serious. You may want to beat your biggest rival more than anyone else, you may focus on that game more than any other, but nobody would trade 9 wins for that 1. When I played I said that same thing before too, there's no way in hell that I would actually make that trade though.

Anyone who has ever worn either schools uni wants that win, cuz it is a nice jewel in the crown...but in no way would they trade that game for an ultra-$hitty season...and if they would prefer to be known as one of the few 1 win teams in school history, that speaks to thier intelligence and pride..lol

I understand the saying it. I did when we played Haysi/PV/Coeburn/Appy/ just about anybody, in no way if I had some magic wand to wave and it'd be true, would I have ever even thought about doing it.

That thought never once crossed my mind.

First year we lost to Pennington, GC, and Honaker...then the second year we lost to GC in OT..and that was it. But goin into the GC game my Sr. year it was time to take care of business..and I wouldn't have taken a 1-9 season to beat GC..at all.
